Erin Crisfield
I turn content into curriculum: workshops and webinars, study guides and courses, toolkits and trainings. I design learning that builds on the knowledge and experience of adult learners, creates a-ha moments and connections, energizes, and equips for action. In collaboration with organizations, I design, review, and renew programs for adult learners.
Here’s a snapshot of my experience:
- Facilitated hundreds of workshops, planning sessions, and meetings.
- Created curriculum from guided conversations, assorted written content sources, and original research.
- Designed a national education program from the ground up and managed existing education programs.
- Conducted research on topics ranging from sustainable development to voluntary simplicity, from deliberative dialogues to chronic disease management.
- Taught online post-secondary courses for six years.
- Witten articles, reports, and successful grant applications, and edited three published books.
- Collaborated with numerous organizations and partners, as a consultant, freelancer, and employee.
My preferred work is in community-based, learning-centred, participatory, adult education. I am particularly interested in projects that are aligned with Doughnut Economics: “the space in which we can meet the needs of all within the means of the planet” (Kate Raworth, 2017). I work with co-operatives, non-profits, academic departments, and other social purpose organizations.
Sidekicks do their best work supporting the heroes, the people dedicated to making positive change through their work and lives: I am an exceptional Sidekick. If your organization is engaged in social purpose work, I can help you educate, engage, and make an impact. Let’s use our time and skills to be
good ancestors.
